DIVISION 2 -ROUND ROBIN SHOWMANSHIP
The First and Second place Senior Showmanship Winners in the areas of
SHEEP, SWINE, DAIRY, BEEF, GOAT AND HORSE, will compete in the Round
Robin Showmanship Contest. In case of a tie it will be broken first by
the Fitting Score then followed by the showing scores beginning with:
1) Dairy Goats
2) Dairy Cows
3) Beef
4) Horses
5) Swine
6) Sheep
Championship FFA & 4-H ....................................$25 and
Rosette
Reserve Championship FFA & 4-H ......................$15 and Rosette
Each Contestant...................................................$5.00
A jacket donated to the 4-H and FFA Champions as the Overall Youth
Winners by Vision West.
Willwood Dairy, Powell, WY and Lewis Construction each donates $35
towards a jacket for the 4-H Reserve Champion.
Dan's Boot and Saddle Repair, Powell, WY and Skalsky's Suffolk each donates $35
towards a jacket for the FFA Reserve Champion.
Jacket winners will need to pick up jackets within 3 months of Fair.
Rules for 4-H Contestants:
1 If for any reason the first and second placing can not participate, then
the third place will be invited through 6th place at the discretion of
Species Superintendent.
2. After each Showmanship Contest the Superintendent of their species
will notify the winner of their right to participate in the Round Robin
Contest.
3. 4-H animals will be shown by 4-H members. This will be supervised by
an adult at each species.
4. Members must show animal in which they won with in Showmanship.
Exceptions must be in written form from Vet and Species Superintendent.
5. The Champion Round Robin Winner will be eligible to compete in 2008
with the same species. In 2007, they would be required to show a
different species than the species which won the 2006 contest.
6. No boars, stallions, diary bulls, beef bulls or bucks (diary goats)
will be allowed in any showmanship event. Rams (sheep) can be shown.
7. Anyone associated with the Round Robin Contest will not be liable for
any injuries to participants or livestock.

Herdsmanship Rules:
1. The Herdsmanship contest will start on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and
will conclude on Friday at 10:00 p.m. Displays must be ready for
inspection between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The stalls will
be inspected once a day on these three days.
2. Official Fair stall cards must be displayed at all times of
prescribed juding time. If during that time a stall card is not
displayed, the member is disqualified from the contest.
3. Herdsmanship will be judged on an individual basis. The club score is
an average calculated on the individuals average 3-day scores. If the
average is .5 or higher - it is rounded to the next whole number, and if
it is .4 or lower - it is rounded down to the next whole number.
4. Herdsmanship Awards will be presented prior to the start of the Round
Robin competition.
5. Factors to be considered in judging will be:
Cleanliness of alleys, stalls, and/or pens - general appearance
of bedding, manure, and alleys. Feed and water buckets secure and safe.
Water bucket full.
Arrangement of Exhibit - attractive, neat, equipment stored.
Alleys or walkways cleaned, raked, and/or swept.
Appearance of Animals - animals clean, brushed, tied or penned
properly.
Use of Stall Cards and/or Use of Educational Signs or Posters -
large lettering, neat, clean and complete.
Overall - conduct, cooperation, public relations (member conduct
- cooperation with Superintendents, Leaders, committees, and other
members), and county scope (species, breeding, market, etc.)
6. In case of a tie, the committee will determine a tie breaker.

SHOW TIME: Friday,
July 27 at 3:00 p.m. to the Sheep Show Ring
RULES:
1. The first place Senior, Intermediate and Junior 4-H
Showmanship winners in the areas of RABBIT, DOGS, CATS, POCKET PETS and
POULTRY will compete in the Small Animal Round Robin Contest. In case of
a tie, the winner will be selected by the fitting score then followed by
the showing scores beginning with 1-rabbit, 2-poultry, 3-pocket pet.
2. If for any reason the first place showman cannot participate, then
the second place individual will be invited through sixth place at the
discretion of species Superintendent.
3. After each showmanship contest, the Superintendent of their species
will notify the winner of their right to participate in the Small Animal
Round Robin Contest.
4. Members must show the animal in which they won with in showmanship.
Exceptions must be in written form from species Superintendent and 4-H
Associate.
5. An adult volunteer will supervise each species during the contest.
6. There will be one judge per species. The judges' decisions are final.
7. The Champion Small Animal Round Robin winner will be eligible to
compete in the 2009 contest with the same species. In 2008, he/she would
be required to show a different species than the species which he/she
won the 2007 contest.
8. Anyone associated with the Small Animal Round Robin Contest will not
be liable for any injuries to participants or animals.
