1. 4-H Livestock Entry Sheets are due in the Fair Office or Cody
Extension Office by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2007. All 4-H &FFA Horse
entries due no later than July 9, 2007. Absolutely no entries for

the breed of your animals. Animals may be purebreds, grades or
crossbreeds.
2. For times of the Livestock Shows, check Calendar Of Events in the
front of this book.
3. The Park County Fair Association recommends that you have your
animals VACCINATED according to your local veterinarian's recommendations.
We WILL NOT be responsible for any animals contracting a disease or virus
during the fair. If any animals show signs of sickness or disease, the
exhibitor will be asked to remove them from the fairgrounds.
4. In the case of no competition, the judge shall decide whether the
exhibit shall be placed in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place category.
5. There will be separate classes each breed listed under the various
classes.
6. NO CHAMPION CLASS will be honored unless three animals or fleeces are
exhibited. (Either three males or three females).
7. In order to show at State Fair: all Youth Cattle (beef and dairy) must
be owned by Feb.1 (exception: calves born after the Feb. 1 date must be
owned by June 1). Youth Horses -May 1; and all other Youth Livestock (sheep,
swine, rabbits, poultry, dogs, dairy goats, etc.)-June 1.
8. No animal may be shown in both Market and Breeding Classes. Animals
shown in pens of three or more may also be shown as individuals.
9. All bulls over yearlings must be shown with nose leads.
10. 4-H and FFA members from other counties will not be allowed to compete
in the Youth Department unless enrolled in a Park County 4-H Club or FFA
Chapter.
11. Youth Exhibitors entering Livestock can only enter each animal as youth
or open class but not both. Youth's animals will be allowed to show in
open class provided there is an open class animal showing in that class.
12. All Animals must be fitted. No ribbons or premiums will be awarded
to unfitted animals.
13. The decision of the judges will be final. The place or prize that
any animal is to receive is left to the discretion of the judge,
particularly if there is no or very little competition. If, in the opinion
of the judge, the animal is good enough for first place, the animal will be
so placed, even though there is no competition, and if too poor, need not
be given a placing.
14. No more than two entries per class by any one exhibitor.
15. 9 -13 year old 4-Hers and first year 4-Hers over 13 may receive parental
or 4-H leader help when needed. Parental or leader help is
permissible only when the 4-Hers is actively participating in the fitting,

feeding of animals should be done by the 4-Her. Making it a learning
situation for the 4-Her is the most important point.

tied out until after 8 p.m. and must be back in the barn by 9 a.m.
